Why Don't You Care?...

"Why is it that you do not care anymore?"

This question caught me off-guard. There are two answers flowing around in my thoughts, both of which, I chose not to use.

1) The matter means so much to me such that I chose not to care anymore.
2) The matter means nothing to me anymore.

Truth is, I do not know which one is it.
